ceramic heaters just arrived.

PTC - amazing material

but goofed the setup and placed the ceramic heater on top of a huge copper heatsink (idiots)

then moved to a more suitable setup and it was a breeze

it takes 5 amps ramping up and when it reaches 410C (rated at 400c) it stabilize on 3A

using a benchtop psu you can make a very simple reflow profile.
ot that my quickie low temp solder didn't zip into place
i was so shocked by the low temp i couldn't believe my eyes and kept ramping the current to 220 :)
